Overview You will lead the Microsoft Creative Studio's operations and production, enabling faster, higher-quality output at scale. You'll own intake, capacity planning, workflows, budgeting, and reporting, aligning with brand and accessibility governance. This role combines creative operations and production management to deliver predictable, on-spec assets while reducing manual effort through AI-enabled tooling. You'll partner with senior stakeholders to optimize ROI and delivery timelines, shaping how the studio scales. Responsibilities- Own a single front door for creative demand with clear intake standards and SLA
- Lead triage and prioritization with marketing stakeholders to optimize value
- Maintain brief quality and reduce ambiguity in requests
- Forecast demand against supply and allocate people with clear utilization view
- Manage freelance/partner surge capacity to absorb peaks
- Own work management platform end-to-end: templates, workflows, permissions, reporting
- Oversee digital asset management, taxonomy, metadata, and approval tooling
- Apply AI/automation to intake, routing, reporting, and production workflows
- Own production standards and the end-to-end production pipeline (pre, production, post)
- Build crew/vendor rosters and manage partner selection and performance
- Ensure permits, releases, rights tracking, and expiration monitoring
- Set delivery specs and handoff to asset management for archiving
- Own studio budget, including estimating, SOW, PO management, and vendor negotiation
- Establish cost-per-asset visibility to guide production and resource decisions
- Refine the studio funding model and track variances for reporting
- Integrate brand, legal, accessibility reviews into workflows
- Define and report operating metrics (throughput, on-time delivery, cycle time, utilization, rework rate)
- Own quarterly business review narrative linking studio performance to marketing outcomes
- Lead and develop a team of operations managers and producers
- Shape organizational design and automation plans for scaling
- Influence senior stakeholders with data-driven trade-offs
Key requirements- Bachelor's Degree plus 10+ years in marketing operations, program/project management, or related experience or equivalent
- Experience owning a creative or production budget with estimating, vendor negotiation, and variance management
- Proven leadership of teams including producers and operations managers
- Experience standing up or scaling an in-house creative studio
- Depth across both creative operations and production management
- Hands-on ownership of a work management platform (e.g., Workfront, Asana, Wrike, Airtable) with administration and reporting
- Experience with digital asset management, taxonomy/metadata design, and review tooling
- Experience applying AI and automation to operational workflows
- Knowledge of talent usage rights, clearances, and releases in production
