Overview In this role, you oversee auction administration processes and manage the human resources needed for sale day operations. You serve as the primary customer contact before, during, and after sale days, linking customers with the organization to ensure auction objectives are met. You'll drive service levels, support a multi-country auction business, and model superior customer service and salesmanship. This is a hands-on leadership role at RB Global's Yard Operations that combines operational oversight with frontline customer engagement.

Responsibilities- Optimize auction administration to maximize sales and profitability and monitor related costs and shrinkage
- Hire, coach and train the team on customer service decision-making and issue resolution
- Ensure team proficiency with RB Global computer systems, customer registration and payment requirements
- Process DMV transfer documents, CE certificates (Europe), and collect appropriate sales tax or exemptions; reconcile accounts receivable and manage banking duties
- Coordinate procurement of auction supplies and maintain relevant systems for auction information
- Act as liaison across the organization to ensure accurate reporting and information flow
- Build and sustain relationships with customers, financial institutions, tax offices, and motor vehicle branches
- Follow up on customer inquiries and escalate issues to senior management as needed
- Maintain system setups for auction information and ensure data accuracy in contract-related data entry
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Two years of previous customer service experience in a related field
- Minimum one year in a supervisory role
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and enter data quickly and accurately
- DMV document processing experience (asset)
- Sales tax collection, exemptions and remittance experience
- Proven leadership and initiative
- Strong problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision
- Positive attitude and good diplomacy in communication
- Strong written and verbal communication; conflict resolution skills
