Overview

In this Account Manager role, you will support and train clients in Gordian's Job Order Contracting (JOC) solutions within the Washington DC area. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement objectives are met on time and on budget, translating complex construction data into actionable guidance. You will help clients optimize procurement outcomes, improve construction quality, and drive adoption of Gordian's software and data offerings. This is a hands-on role with meaningful impact on project delivery and client success.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain schedules to meet procurement objectives for clients
  • Implement project procedures from identification through construction execution for various Job Orders
  • Read and interpret construction plans and prepare/ review detailed price proposals
  • Train contractors in Gordian software and client procedures, and assist in contract bidding
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure timely, on-budget project delivery
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field, or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of construction procurement, construction management, or general contracting experience in facilities and road construction
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial public construction operations, pricing and contracting, including scope development and estimating/price proposal development
  • Strong analytical and multi-project management skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, team building, flexibility, strategic thinking, problem solving, and goal-oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to develop custom tracking documents
  • Experience with Job Order Contracting or IDIQ and understanding of public procurement methods
  • Ability to travel 30-50%
