Overview As an SAP ABAP Lead, you will drive design, development, testing and support of ABAP WRICEF objects to fulfill Wiley's business needs. You will collaborate with SAP Functional Specialists to enhance and troubleshoot ABAP components across modules, including SD, MM, FI and FSCM. You'll lead development teams, shape technical solutions, and guide complex issue resolution in S/4HANA/SOH environments. This role offers scope to influence SAP architecture, integrate Fiori/UI5 and SAPUI5 apps, and advance AI-enabled SAP capabilities.
Responsibilities- Lead SAP ABAP development across WRICEF objects (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Enhancements & Forms)
- Collaborate with SAP Functional Specialists to design, maintain, enhance and troubleshoot ABAP components
- Manage and mentor SAP development teams
- Develop and validate technical specifications from requirements
- Deliver technical analyses, designs, tests and implementations for SAP developments
- Ensure data and reporting standards compliance and support production configuration
- Assist functional change requests and problem resolution with business stakeholders
- Support incident resolution and best-practice development sharing with business implementations
Key requirements- 10+ years of SAP development experience across modules (SD, MM, FI, FSCM)
- Strong hands-on ABAP knowledge (ALE/IDOC, BAPI/RFC, file-based interfaces, user exits, enhancements)
- WF development and configuration experience
- Experience with SAP Scripts, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, DDIC
- Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData development
- Experience with S/4HANA and SOH environments; SAPUI5/Fiori apps development
- Experience in BTP and enabling AI in SAP (Joule, AICore)
- Ability to write/validate technical specifications and manage complex technical issues
- Independent management of critical projects and collaboration with SAP functional experts
