Overview In this senior role you will act as the technical authority for the Unified Communications hardware and software portfolio across Audio, Video and Control. You'll define end-to-end system architectures and steer UC certification efforts for Teams and Zoom. You collaborate with product management to shape roadmaps and translate customer needs into actionable engineering work. You'll influence across engineering, QA, and product teams without formal reports, guiding certification strategies and platform integration to deliver interoperable UC solutions.

Responsibilities- Track Teams and Zoom ecosystem changes and translate to roadmap impacts
- Lead end-to-end system architecture across Audio, Video, and Control for UC interoperability
- Define hardware/software requirements satisfying Teams/Zoom certification and customer goals
- Provide technical input to product management on tradeoffs and roadmaps
- Advocate for the customer voice with engineering and translate requirements for teams
- Provide clear guidance on certification test requirements and lead certification submissions/lab engagements
- Act as a trusted technical consultant across engineering, QA, and product management
- Provide architectural guidance across Audio and Video with knowledge of control integration
- Guide integration efforts for Windows-based and Android-based platforms under MDEP
- Help define broader solution-level test plans beyond individual certifications
Key requirements- 10+ years in audio/video/collaboration hardware and software development
- Direct experience designing, building, and certifying Teams and/or Zoom devices
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom device certification programs
- Strong architectural background across Audio/Video signal chains (UVC/HDMI/HDCP, DSP/AEC/noise suppression, Bluetooth)
- Networking/streaming knowledge (SIP, RTP/RTCP, PoE)
- Working knowledge of control integration (RS-232/IP, third-party ecosystems)
- Familiarity with Windows IoT/Windows for Teams Rooms and Android platforms under MDEP
- Experience defining hardware/software requirements from certification specs
- Proven ability to act as a technical consultant across functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication for architecture and tradeoffs
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
