Overview As Senior Counsel, Product Legal (Yield), you will serve as the lead counsel for Airwallex's Yield product and drive its growth across markets. You'll provide legal, regulatory, and strategic guidance across the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and expansion. You will partner with global teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical product solutions and scalable governance playbooks. Your work enables responsible product growth while upholding regulatory discipline that protects the business moat. This role offers impact across licensing, product design, and market expansion in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Responsibilities- Act as trusted partner to Yield Product teams and stakeholders during product development and launches.
- Advise on legal/regulatory aspects throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation to expansion.
- Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions to determine optimal market entry paths.
- Translate legal/regulatory advice into actionable product requirements, disclosures, and launch materials.
- Develop scalable legal frameworks, playbooks, and processes to support repeatable product launches.
- Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance, Licensing, Risk, Marketing, Operations and regulated partners to govern product changes.
Key requirements- JD (or equivalent) and active U.S. bar membership
- 7+ years post-qualification experience, including time at a top-tier law firm
- Experience advising on investment products, broker-dealer arrangements, custodial relationships, and wealth-management disclosures
- Strong regulatory advisory/product counseling experience with a reputable firm, financial institution, or fintech; at least 3 years advising on wealth-management products
- Proven ability to work strategically with non-lawyers to support commercial outcomes
- Strong stakeholder-management and cross-jurisdictional coordination skills
- Ability to manage complex, multi-jurisdictional legal workstreams from ideation through launch
