Overview In this role you will lead Fluence's global PMO to ensure the successful delivery of the product portfolio. You will partner with Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and other functions to align execution with strategy, manage budgets, and drive readiness for commercialization. You will shape governance, planning, and investment decisions to maximize portfolio value. This is a high-impact leadership role at the Product Business Unit, focused on execution excellence and cross-functional collaboration to advance sustainable energy solutions. You will influence strategic priority setting and deliver enterprise-wide program governance and reporting.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute the global PMO strategy aligned with the product roadmap and business objectives
- Establish the global PMO operating model spanning Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customer Success
- Drive investment planning, dashboards, and execution excellence across the portfolio
- Set annual objectives, KPIs, resource plans, and capability development for the PMO
- Lead enterprise program governance, integrated master planning, dependency management, and portfolio reporting
- Oversee stage-gate governance, milestone approvals, and program health assessments
- Coordinate cross-functional execution and provide executive visibility on portfolio health and risks
- Lead program recovery, escalations, and enterprise risk mitigation
- Own financial governance for development portfolios including budgets and ROI analysis
- Partner with Finance to develop business cases and investment analyses
- Monitor development spending, forecast accuracy, and portfolio financial health
- Lead product lifecycle execution from concept to end-of-life, including NPI and production launch
- Ensure readiness reviews precede major milestones and launches
- Oversee cross-functional launch readiness across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations
- Establish governance for manufacturing readiness, supply readiness, and production ramp
- Foster an accountable, collaborative, high-performance PMO culture
- Partner with stakeholders to align execution priorities with business objectives
- Represent Fluence with executive leadership, customers, and suppliers
Key requirements- 20+ years in Program Management, PMO, TPM, Product Operations, or engineering execution
- 10+ years leading global program organizations
- Proven ability to build enterprise PMOs and governance frameworks
- Strong financial acumen with portfolio and investment planning experience
- Exceptional executive presence and cross-functional leadership
- Bachelor in Engineering requested; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience leading complex hardware, software, manufacturing, and engineering development programs
