Overview Senior Engineering Manager to lead packaging, process improvements and capital projects across Kerry's Coatings and Proteins plant network. Based in Rome, GA with possible relocations to Melrose Park or Evansville; travel up to 50%. You will drive cross-site packaging and process initiatives, manage capital projects, and mentor plant personnel to advance safety, reliability and efficiency. The role combines hands-on engineering leadership with multi-site coordination to support Kerry's sustainable nutrition mission.

Responsibilities- Drive packaging and process improvements across the plant network in collaboration with plant personnel
- Lead capital projects in packaging, process and plant infrastructure improvements
- Coordinate across multiple sites to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery
- Support plant automation understanding and integration with PLCs, robotics and IT/OT
- Coach and mentor plant personnel to enhance capabilities and operations
- Maintain focus on safety, reliability and performance improvements
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial or similar)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in plant engineering
- Experience in multi-site engineering role preferred
- Food, consumer goods or chemical manufacturing experience preferred
- Able to work on factory floor for extended periods and access silos and high areas
- Result-oriented and able to articulate how to deliver outcomes
- Attention to detail
- Strong follow-up and execution skills
- Troubleshooting and installation of packaging equipment (25-50lb bagging, heat sealing, conveying, palletizing)
- Powder handling: silos, pneumatic conveying, mixing, dust collection
- Project management for $100K-$1M capital projects (scope, budget, schedule, risk)
