Overview In this Director role, you will lead the Commissioning & Building Analytics team to deliver reliable, on-schedule commissioning services across multiple sectors. Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop the commissioning team
- Oversee commissioning processes ensuring standards, regulatory compliance, and project goals
- Manage projects end-to-end including budgeting, planning, resource allocation, and risk management
- Drive profitability through effective budgeting and scheduling
- Build strong client relationships and translate needs into results
- Contribute to business development via opportunities, proposals, and client presentations
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the commissioning business and capture new markets
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in commissioning
- Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and regulations in all activities
- Foster continuous improvement, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration
Key requirements- University technical degree (engineering preferred)
- 10+ years in commissioning with emphasis on project/program management and business development
- Certifications: CEM, CBCP, CPMP, BCxP, or CxA (any combination)
- Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within profitability targets
- Strong business acumen and ability to win new projects
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Deep knowledge of commissioning processes, codes, and regulations
- Experience testing mechanical/electrical systems and building automation
- Proficient with calibrated testing equipment (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, power quality analyzers, meters)
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinker with proactive, deadline-driven mindset
