Overview In this Sr. Accountant role, you will support the Controller across daily accounting operations, reporting, and analysis for multiple entities. You will work in a hands-on environment within a well-established manufacturing and distribution business in Dallas, TX, helping ensure accurate financial data and timely close processes. You'll focus on cash flow visibility, controlled spend, and reliable management reporting to inform business decisions. This role offers the opportunity to shape accounting practices across aviation-related and warehouse operations and to contribute to cross-entity financial insights.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounts payable activities including invoice review and payment processing to ensure timely vendor settlements
- Collaborate with accounts receivable support to monitor outstanding balances and assist with collections to improve cash flow visibility
- Prepare and review bank and credit card reconciliations, resolving discrepancies
- Support inventory accounting by tracking adjustments and documenting write-offs
- Maintain accounting records for affiliated business operations (aviation-related and warehouse properties)
- Produce financial statements and management reports for multiple entities on schedule
- Perform variance analysis to explain budget-to-actual differences and support decisions
- Coordinate with external tax and accounting partners, organize schedules, and facilitate filings
- Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries and general ledger review
