Overview

As Corporate Counsel, you will support Axon's sales team globally, structuring and negotiating complex transactions for our public safety technology portfolio. You will help scale contracting processes and risk management, while collaborating with cross-functional partners to align legal strategy with business growth. You will mentor Contracts Managers and refine templates, playbooks, and the contract lifecycle system. This role offers meaningful impact by enabling safe, compliant, and efficient deal execution at scale. Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice on transactional matters for global sales of goods, services, and SaaS
  • Structure, review, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts (SaaS, hardware, services)
  • Supervise Contracts Managers and enforce Axon's risk thresholds
  • Lead and evolve contracting processes to support scalable operations
  • Draft and maintain template language, risk analyses, policies, and procedures
  • Support development/implementation of the contract lifecycle management system
  • Provide regulatory compliance and other legal advice as needed
  • Collaborate with lawyers, contracts managers, and staff to mentor and learn
Key requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years in-house experience negotiating/handling complex commercial contracts
  • Proven ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume contracts (SaaS, hardware, services)
  • Experience negotiating SaaS, IaaS and/or PaaS agreements
  • Ability to act with urgency and manage workloads
  • Experience negotiating international agreements
  • Process-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • J.D. and active bar admission in at least one U.S. state
  • Experience with using AI to automate processes and streamline workflows
  • Ability to pivot quickly between tasks as business needs change
