Overview As Counsel, Product Legal (Yield), you guide the Yield product through its lifecycle from ideation to launch and expansion. You will translate regulatory requirements into practical product solutions and work with cross-functional teams across jurisdictions to enable compliant growth. Your role blends legal advice with strategic business impact, helping Airwallex scale while maintaining regulatory discipline. Responsibilities- Act as trusted partner to Yield Product teams for launching and evolving the Yield product
- Advise on legal and regulatory aspects across the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch
- Coordinate with local counsel across jurisdictions (AU, SG, HK, US, UK, EU) for market entry
- Translate legal advice into actionable product requirements, disclosures and launch materials
- Develop legal frameworks, playbooks and processes to support repeatable product launches
- Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance, Licensing, Risk, Marketing and regulated partners to govern product changes
Key requirements- JD (or equivalent law degree) and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years PQE, including time at a top-tier law firm
- Experience advising on investment products, broker-dealer arrangements, custodial relationships, and related disclosures
- Strong regulatory advisory or product counseling experience in fintech or financial services
- Proven ability to work strategically with non-lawyers to support commercial outcomes
