Overview

As a CADD Specialist IV at AECOM in Houston, you will support engineering teams with calculations, design verification, and technical analysis to ensure accurate project deliverables. You will set up and maintain surveying gear, inspect installations for code compliance, and manage comprehensive project documentation. You will guide junior technicians and coordinate with contractors to keep projects on schedule while communicating findings to stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Assist with engineering calculations, design verification, and technical analysis
  • Set up, operate, and maintain surveying equipment and field instruments
  • Inspect equipment and installations for compliance with specs, codes, and safety regulations
  • Maintain project documentation including field notes, reports, and as-built records
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Oversee and mentor junior technicians, performing QA reviews
  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations for quality control
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and external teams to ensure project alignment
  • Identify safety hazards and compliance concerns and inform management
Key requirements
  • HS + 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent
  • US citizenship
  • Proficiency in engineering software and CAD programs
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of civil engineering principles and standards
  • Ability to read and analyze engineering drawings and specs
  • Hands-on surveying equipment and field instrument experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation
  • Experience with project management and scheduling software
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience with junior technicians
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
