Overview As Lead Electrical Project Manager, you will oversee all electrical work for data center projects, aligning electrical plans with overall objectives and coordinating with clients, GC/EPС partners and internal teams. You'll drive commissioning, start-up and turnover activities, ensuring quality, schedule and budget adherence. You'll lead technical direction on electrical infrastructure, including high voltage systems, UPS, BESS and distribution networks. Responsibilities- Manage all electrical activities across the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through warranty and occupancy.
- Act as the primary electrical interface between client, GC/EPC, AECOM, and project stakeholders.
- Oversee installation of critical electrical systems and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor contractor performance, perform field inspections, and validate conformance to specs.
- Coordinate milestones with mechanical, civil, architectural, and commissioning teams.
- Provide technical guidance, administer policies, and ensure construction quality, budget and schedule adherence.
- Support commissioning activities, energization, phased start-up and turnover of building portions.
- Handle project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and coordination with Project Controls and client representatives.
- Review pay applications and assist with off-site equipment condition review for client.
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field plus 8 years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
- 15 years in construction and 5+ years managing large-scale industrial, mission-critical or data center projects.
- PMP, CCM, or equivalent certification.
- Experience with electrical systems, distribution, cooling infrastructure and critical facility operations.
- Understanding of construction means/methods, project delivery, contract administration, and commissioning processes.
- Experience managing electrical scopes >$100M in construction value.
- Familiarity with cloud-based PMIS and project controls platforms.
