Overview As Corporate Counsel at Axon, you will partner with global sales and cross-functional teams to structure, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts for a rapidly scaling business. You'll build scalable contracting processes, templates, and risk analyses while supervising Contracts Managers. You will provide broad legal guidance on transactions, regulatory matters, and compliance, shaping how Axon sells SaaS, hardware, and services. Responsibilities- Structure, review and negotiate contracts for goods, services and SaaS solutions; advise on risk and options for business partners
- Supervise Contracts Managers and ensure appropriate risk levels and knowledge sharing
- Lead and evolve contracting processes for scale, including templates, risk analyses, policies and procedures
- Develop and maintain contract lifecycle management system and related playbooks
- Provide broader legal guidance on regulatory compliance and industry standards
- Collaborate with attorneys, contracts managers, and admin support to mentor and develop the team
Key requirements- 3+ years of in-house experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts
- Ability to draft and negotiate high volume of contracts including SaaS, hardware and services
- Experience negotiating SaaS, IaaS and/or PaaS contracts
- Experience with international agreements
- J.D. and bar admission in at least one US state
- Ability to work with urgency and manage large workload
- Experience leveraging AI to automate processes or streamline workflows
