Overview As a Project Engineer at AECOM, you'll support data center construction projects from planning through execution. You will work under the Project Manager to coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, and help ensure safety, quality, and alignment with design intent. You'll collaborate across field and office teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget, using your technical and organizational skills to drive reliable outcomes. Responsibilities- Assist with planning and coordination of subcontractor activities
- Monitor subcontractor performance for quality control and compliance with project plans
- Review manpower, material, and equipment requirements with supervision
- Ensure safety program compliance and OSHA recordkeeping
- Maintain records via construction management system (diaries, logs, RFIs, submittal logs)
- Support project pre-plan by reviewing CPM schedule and work sequences
- Interface with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure design intent
- Foster cross functional communication to meet plans, specifications, and quality standards
- Expand professional knowledge and enhance team productivity
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Preferred: Bachelor's in Architecture, Construction, or Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience
- Prior data center experience
- Industry certifications such as EIT or PE
