Overview

As Manager in Huron's Education & Research practice, you lead risk, governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives for colleges, universities, health systems, and related institutions. You'll guide engagements, mentor teams, and shape sustainable compliance frameworks that align with strategic priorities. Your work helps clients navigate investigations, audits, and evolving regulations while driving organizational effectiveness. Responsibilities
  • Lead consulting projects on compliance program effectiveness, governance, ERM, and regulatory affairs
  • Collaborate with client leadership to implement policies, controls, and operating models
  • Facilitate executive interviews and governance discussions with institutional leaders
  • Support responses to regulatory inquiries, audits, investigations, and new compliance requirements
  • Develop actionable recommendations and implementation roadmaps for future state operations
  • Assess regulatory and operational risks in strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
  • Advise leaders on compliance implications of strategic initiatives and expansions
  • Manage project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Contribute to business development through proposals, thought leadership, and client management
Key requirements
  • 7+ years in consulting, higher education, healthcare, compliance, governance, or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree required; JD/MD/MPA/MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and work extended hours
  • Strong client relationship and executive engagement skills
