Overview In this role you lead Crum & Forster's P&C claims program strategy and governance for a portfolio of delegated and partner-managed programs. You'll build and run a scalable operating model with TPAs, MGAs/MGUs, and other partners, translating enterprise objectives into measurable outcomes. You'll oversee complex and high-severity claims, strengthen reserving and litigation discipline, and drive modernization through data, automation, and process redesign. Work in a cross-functional, matrixed environment to support profitable growth while protecting policyholders and meeting regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities- Set and execute the P&C claims program strategy, operating model, and service standards aligned with underwriting, actuarial assumptions, reinsurance, and enterprise goals
- Build and coach a high-performing team of program managers and specialists; foster accountability, inclusion, curiosity, and continuous learning
- Own financial, operational, quality, compliance, and talent outcomes across assigned programs
- Establish a scalable governance framework for TPAs, MGAs/MGUs, independent adjusters, and partners with clear SLAs, scorecards, and escalation paths
- Lead due diligence, onboarding, data mapping, staffing validation, and go-live governance for new and renewed programs
- Oversee audits of TPAs/MGAs/MGUs and provide guidance on complex, high-severity, coverage-sensitive, catastrophe, and litigated claims
- Partner with Legal on counsel guidelines, litigation strategy, and vendor performance
- Ensure regulatory readiness and adherence to unfair claims practices laws, licensing, data privacy, and internal controls
- Maintain a risk-based audit program covering coverage, reserving, payments, communications, litigation handling, subrogation, and compliance
- Develop dashboards and executive-level reporting to highlight trends, exposures, and action items across claims, underwriting, and actuarial
- Improve claim outcomes through fraud reduction, recovery, and expense discipline
- Enhance customer and broker experience with timely, clear, brand-consistent communication
Key requirements- 10+ years of progressively responsible P&C claims experience, including commercial or specialty casualty and/or property
- 5+ years of people leadership, program management, or delegated claims oversight
- Experience with specialty products such as CGL, commercial auto, property, professional liability, excess casualty, occupational accident
- Experience managing complex/high-severity claims, litigation, reserves, and regulatory matters
- Working knowledge of claims data, dashboards, financial metrics, system integrations, and technology-enabled process improvement
- Experience with claims platforms and business intelligence/tools to drive decisions
- Preferred: CPCU, AIC, SCLA, ARM or equivalent designations
- Ability to travel for partner due diligence, governance, onboarding, and meetings
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
