Reliability Engineer, Maintenance CoE (Remote)

Overview

In this role you will advance equipment reliability across manufacturing sites as part of the Maintenance Center of Excellence. You will apply reliability principles and maintenance best practices to reduce failures and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance. You will partner with sites and OEMs to translate failure data into actionable improvements and maintain standards across the network. This role offers exposure to a broad range of equipment and advanced analytics, with travel required to support sites.

Responsibilities
  • Improve equipment reliability and maintenance effectiveness across sites
  • Analyze performance data to identify bad actors and recurring failures
  • Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
  • Apply FMEA, RCM, and criticality analysis to maintenance planning
  • Coordinate maintenance planning, scheduling, backlog management, and work-order quality
  • Utilize CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM/EAM) to review maintenance history and failures
  • Support predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring initiatives (vibration, thermography, etc.)
  • Collaborate with OEMs and internal teams to share best practices and drive reliability improvements
  • Contribute to equipment design and maintainability reviews for new/modified assets
  • Travel up to 50% to customer sites and plants
  • Mentor and transfer knowledge within the MCoE and sites
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 5+ years (or Master's with 3+ years) in manufacturing engineering, equipment engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field
  • Experience with troubleshooting industrial/manufacturing equipment
  • Experience conducting RCA and structured problem solving
  • Experience analyzing equipment and maintenance data to identify trends
  • Working knowledge of maintenance work-management fundamentals (work orders, PM, planning, scheduling, backlog)
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems
  • Knowledge of reliability principles and maintenance strategies
  • Strong problem-solving skills
