Premier Trade Service is Hiring an Electrical Safety Coordinator for a long term project in Boise, Idaho. This role is hands-on and works directly with electricians, foremen, and project leadership to identify hazards, enforce safety standards, and keep projects moving safely. You'll conduct jobsite inspections, oversee electrical safety practices, review job hazard analyses, and lead safety training and toolbox talks. The ideal candidate has strong commercial electrical knowledge, understands construction safety requirements, and is confident addressing unsafe conditions in the field. You'll also assist with incident investigations, corrective actions, and maintaining safety documentation.

Safety Coordinator Tasks:
- Conduct jobsite inspections and identify electrical and construction hazards involving wiring, equipment, energized work, and temporary power.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration, National Fire Protection Association, National Electrical Code, and company safety requirements.
- Monitor lockout and tagout procedures, energized work, personal protective equipment, grounding, and other electrical hazard controls.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses, Job Safety Analyses, and project-specific electrical safety plans.
- Work directly with foremen and electricians to correct unsafe practices and implement corrective actions.
- Verify the proper use and condition of electrical tools, equipment, lifts, ladders, and personal protective equipment.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety orientations, and electrical safety training based on project-specific hazards.
- Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, accident reporting, documentation, and preventative measures.
- Develop and maintain company health and safety plans, policies, and programs that promote safe working conditions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance records.
- Supervise employee activities to ensure adherence to company health and safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a safety coordinator on a commercial site.
- Must have OSHA 30
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of NEC
- Ability to communicate effectively with electricians, foremen, superintendents, project managers, and contractors
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, organization, and ability to enforce safety policies consistently
