FACILITY INFORMATION
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Specialty Backup Available: Radiation Oncology, APPs
  • Support Staff Available: APPs (5 inpatient, 6 outpatient)
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: 90-120 days
REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • FNA/Biopsy

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
  • Licenses: Active MI License or willing to obtain
  • Certifications: BLS
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient hematology/oncology consult service and rounding on patients
  • Manage outpatient clinic and infusion center patients (predominantly hematology)
  • Participate in shared call pool (1:5) with APP support after hours
  • Active participation in tumor board
  • Order diagnostic tests, imaging studies, and prescribe medications
  • Perform bone marrow biopsies and fine needle aspirations (FNA)
