Assignment Details- Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin
- Start Date: December 1 or 2, 2026, for orientation
- End Date: Ongoing
- Commitment: One to two weeks per month with weekend availability
- Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours with beeper call
- Call Response Time: 20 minutes
- Callback Rate: Approximately 10 Äì20%
- Cases: Approximately 5 Äì8 per shift
- EMR: Cerner
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
- Hospital Privileges: Required
Initial Coverage Dates- December 1 or 2: Orientation
- December 3 Äì4: 7:00 AM Äì5:00 PM
- December 7 Äì11: 7:00 AM Äì5:00 PM, with two available nights of call
- December 12 Äì13: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00 AM Äì7:00 AM
- December 20: 24-hour beeper call, 7:00 AM Äì7:00 AM
- December 21 Äì24: 7:00 AM Äì5:00 PM with beeper call from 5:00 PM Äì7:00 AM
- December 26: 24-hour beeper call
- Additional ongoing dates have not yet been provided
Requirements- Board-certified Anesthesiologist
- Cardiac anesthesia experience
- Basic or advanced TEE certification
- Documentation of approximately 30 Äì40 TEEs performed within the past year
- Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Current arterial- and central-line placement experience
- Regional-block experience
- Ability to cover general anesthesia when no cardiac cases are scheduled
- Collegial and flexible practice style
- No open or pending malpractice cases
Preferred- Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellowship training
- CRNA supervision experience
Clinical Details- Approximately 80% structural-heart cases
- Approximately 20% pump cases
- Approximately 80% solo cases
- 16 operating rooms
- Level II trauma environment
- Additional required experience includes:
- Adult and trauma anesthesia - Open-heart and thoracic anesthesia - Complex vascular and orthopedic cases - Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia - OB and neurosurgical cases - Ventilator and acute volume/blood-pressure management - Arterial, central, and pulmonary artery catheter placement- No teaching responsibilities
