This role targets sales and business development: competitive market analysis, capture strategies, and winning proposals. Stay informed on local, state, and national transportation and freight forwarding markets. Maintain key sales contacts with civilian and business personnel.
Essential duties: identify leads and acquire new business; a minimum of 3-5 in-person sales presentations per day at customer locations; meet sales numbers and margins; build a pipeline; follow up on leads; guide pricing; weekly activity reports to the Vice President and General Manager; coordinate with Honolulu operations and neighbor-island trucking partners; weekly sales schedule and after-action report.
Requirements: minimum 2 years of sales and business development in transportation and freight forwarding; 1 year account manager experience; Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); valid driver's license; in person; relocate to Kauai, Hawaii before starting work. May move 50 to 100 pounds.
