Overview

In this on-site role, you partner with data center employees and leaders to resolve workplace matters fairly and promptly, managing a broad ER caseload in a fast-paced environment. You will coach managers, conduct investigations, interpret policies, and drive consistent case resolution across cross-functional teams. This position supports a 24/7 data center operation in Saline, with a focus on risk management, policy education, and process improvement. You will contribute to a supportive, compliant employee experience while collaborating with HR, Legal, and Security to sustain operational continuity.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse ER caseload from intake to resolution across performance, attendance, conduct, and policy questions
  • Provide policy-aligned consultation and coaching to frontline and mid-level leaders
  • Conduct independent fact-finding and investigations, document findings and advise on next steps
  • Maintain on-floor presence to identify and escalate concerns promptly
  • Escalate elevated-risk matters including discrimination, harassment, safety, or legal exposure
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure confidential, timely case resolution and accurate records
  • Analyze recurring themes in cases to improve manager capability, employee experience, and process consistency
  • Support ER reporting, training, communications, and playbook development for the data center workforce
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in HR or employee relations with experience in performance management, investigations, and policy application
  • Ability to manage sensitive matters independently and know when to elevate
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and internal policy application
  • Experience supporting operations-focused, shift-based or data center workforces (preferred)
  • Strong written communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/case-management systems; data-driven decision making
