Overview In this role you will lead and support fraud investigations, forensic analyses, business valuations, and dispute engagements for clients across industries. You will review financial data, prepare valuation analyses, and communicate findings. You will mentor staff and contribute to business development. You will work with law firms, private/public companies, and stakeholders. This position sits in a growing Armanino fraud/valuation practice.

Responsibilities- Manage and assist in fraud investigations, forensic investigations, business valuation engagements, contract compliance matters, and dispute and litigation consulting engagements
- Review and analyze financial information, accounting records, tax returns, forecasts, transaction documents, and court pleadings in support of valuation, litigation, and dispute matters
- Assist with litigation discovery and valuation-related document requests
- Develop financial models and perform financial analysis for valuation, litigation, and forensic engagements
- Perform business valuations for closely held businesses, operating companies, ownership interests, and family limited partnerships using appropriate approaches
- Research industries, economic conditions, guideline public companies, M&A transactions, discount rates, and valuation discounts/premiums
- Prepare and review valuation analyses, schedules, reports, expert reports, and other client deliverables
- Lead and play a key role in fraud investigations (e.g., embezzlement, financial reporting fraud, Ponzi schemes, health care fraud)
- Lead and play a key role in dispute and litigation consulting matters (e.g., shareholder disputes, marital dissolution, IP disputes, lost profits/damages)
- Develop strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and colleagues in fraud, forensic, valuation, and litigation support
- Assist in engagement and client relationship processes including communication, invoicing, budgeting, deliverables, and presenting findings
- Mentor and coach staff on forensic accounting, financial analysis, and valuation concepts
- Assist with business development, including proposals and industry/networking events
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related area
- 5+ years of experience in business valuation, litigation support, investigation, or related financial advisory services
- Experience applying generally accepted valuation approaches and preparing valuation analyses and reports
- Proficiency in MS Office, financial modeling, and valuation research/data resources
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Credentials such as ASA, CVA, ABV, CFA, CPA are desirable
- Credentials related to fraud, forensic accounting, investigations, or damages analysis are desirable
