Overview In this role you will design, develop, and deploy modular microservices and Drupal-based web applications within a DevSecOps-driven team. You will drive secure software delivery, automation, and cloud-native solutions while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. You'll mentor junior engineers, participate in reviews, and ensure scalable, reliable releases. This position offers impact through shaping secure, API-driven platforms for government-focused projects.
Responsibilities- Design and deploy modular microservices and Drupal-based web apps
- Understand stakeholder needs and communicate them to developers
- Write and debug innovative software, including custom Drupal modules/themes
- Troubleshoot quality, security, and reliability issues
- Automate unit and functional tests, perform QA
- Evaluate complex software solutions using APIs and microservices
- Ensure security following Drupal/web app best practices
- Root-cause analysis and software updates/fixes
- Support production releases (deploy, troubleshoot, test)
- Document code, features, and training materials
- Analyze environment state and produce improvement artifacts
- Leverage virtualization and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Mentor junior staff and drive continuous improvement
Key requirements- 8 Years of experience with one or more programming languages (Java, Ruby, React, C++, C)
- 8 Years of experience with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)
- 8 Years of experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, JavaScript)
- 5 Years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- 5 Years of experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, TravisCI)
- 3+ years of hands-on Drupal experience (Drupal 8/9/10, custom modules/themes)
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (unit testing)
- Ability to obtain U.S. government Security Clearance
- Certificates: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solution Architect Professional, Azure Developer Associate
