Overview In this role, you lead contract governance for a portfolio within the Grid Automation unit, ensuring adherence to group directives and contract management frameworks. You will steer commercial negotiation, risk assessment, and timely execution of contracts, purchase orders, and supplier agreements. You collaborate with Legal, Project Management and Sales to resolve disputes and drive project outcomes. Responsibilities- Lead contract governance across a portfolio of projects ensuring policy compliance and best practices
- Review, negotiate, and manage customer and supplier contracts during tender and execution phases
- Develop contract strategies balancing scope, schedule, pricing, opportunities, and risk
- Draft and negotiate purchase orders, subcontracts, and supplier agreements with risk allocation
- Manage contract execution activities including payments, variations, claims, warranties and other commercial deliverables
- Identify entitlements such as extensions of time and claims arising from scope changes or project impacts
- Protect company contractual position through stakeholder engagement and proactive relationship management
- Partner with Legal, Project Management and Sales to resolve disputes and support project outcomes
- Drive commercial risk management and continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned
Key requirements- Bachelor in Engineering or Law
- 8-10 years of contracts management in an Engineering, procurement & construction environment
- Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Software-related (SAAS) / FIDIC contracts (yellow/orange/red book); AS or ASNZS an advantage
