Overview In this senior role you lead the regional fire safety consultancy across the South West and Wales, shaping a high-impact Centre of Excellence within a multidisciplinary Building Surveying practice. You balance technical authority with client development and commercial ownership to grow the fire safety offering. You'll advise on legislation, risk, and remediation while building a specialist team and governance. Responsibilities- Lead the regional fire safety consultancy offer across the South West and Wales
- Act as technical lead on fire safety, building compliance and remediation
- Advise on fire legislation, Building Regulations, passive fire protection, compartmentation and Building Safety Act compliance
- Develop client relationships, secure new opportunities and lead bids or tenders
- Support major clients across public and private sector portfolios
- Build, mentor and develop a specialist fire and building safety team
- Oversee quality, governance, financial performance and resource planning
Key requirements- Strong fire safety consultancy experience and technical knowledge
- Detailed understanding of fire risk, Building Regulations and fire safety legislation
- Ability to lead complex projects, manage clients and grow revenue
- Commercial awareness, leadership experience and project management skills
- Relevant degree and recognised accreditation or chartership (MRICS, MIFSM or IFE)
- Level 4 Fire Risk Assessor qualification and full UK driving licence
- Building Safety Act, Principal Designer, fire remediation, framework management, NEBOSH or IOSH experience would be useful
