HR Benefits Analyst

Overview

In this role you partner with HR to evaluate, implement and manage compelling benefits and LOA programs that attract and retain talent for a mission-driven health system. You'll analyze, troubleshoot, and improve benefits workflows, support open enrollment, and ensure data integrity in HR systems. You'll train teams, generate ad-hoc HRIS reports, and audit programs to maintain compliance. This role sits at the intersection of benefits, LOA management, data analysis, and process optimization, delivering meaningful improvements for employees and the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and develop competitive benefits programs to attract, retain, and reward staff
  • Analyze processes to identify problems and recommend improvements for benefits and LOA processes
  • Respond to employee inquiries and coordinate with brokers/vendors to resolve coverage issues
  • Create user and administrator guides for benefits and LOA programs
  • Support annual benefit open enrollment and deliver related trainings
  • Ensure data integrity of benefits and LOA in HR systems
  • Conduct audits for compliance of benefits programs and policies
  • Build ad-hoc HRIS reports and test systems changes with HR tech teams
  • Oversee LOA communications, return-to-work coordination, and associated documentation
  • Assist with processing of benefit changes including enrollments, qualifying events and terminations
  • Coordinate workplace accommodations and ensure timely delivery of technology/equipment upon approval
  • Audit benefit invoices and manage premium payments for LOA employees
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant benefits, LOA administration or HR Operations experience
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation skills preferred
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and leaves of absence
  • Project management skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • HRIS reporting experience; Dayforce experience preferred
  • Office software proficiency (PowerPoint, Word, Excel with pivot tables, Outlook)
  • Experience with benefits data integrity and compliance
  • Ability to interact with employees and management to provide guidance on LOA and workplace accommodations
