Overview In this senior role, you will lead the commercial glazing operations for a growing exterior construction contractor in the Baltimore market. You drive cross-functional performance across project management, field operations, estimating, procurement, and safety to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and profitably. Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and direction for the commercial glazing operations
- Oversee the delivery of multiple glazing projects from award to completion
- Lead and support Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, and field personnel
- Establish and maintain project management and field execution processes
- Monitor schedules, budgets, costs, margins, manpower, and financial performance
- Review forecasts and address potential cost, schedule, procurement, and scope issues
- Coordinate with estimating during bid-to-award transition to set scope and expectations
- Oversee procurement, fabrication coordination, material availability, logistics, and installation planning
- Provide guidance on complex technical, contractual, and field issues
- Ensure adequate staffing aligned with schedules and production requirements
- Establish accountability for milestones, budgets, and quality
- Collaborate with General Contractors, owners, architects, vendors, subcontractors
- Review and support change-order strategy, claims, and scope development
- Monitor closeout, punch lists, final billing, warranties, and outstanding items
- Develop and maintain operational KPIs and reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, standardize processes, and increase profitability
- Assist senior leadership with annual planning, staffing, forecasting, business development, and growth
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing project management and field personnel
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, quality, professionalism, and customer service
- Ensure work complies with policies, contracts, codes, and safety standards
Key requirements- 8+ years of commercial glazing or building-envelope experience with leadership
- Proven experience overseeing multiple glazing projects simultaneously
- Experience leading Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, or field teams
- Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, job costing, budgets, and profitability
- Ability to resolve operational, contractual, technical, and scheduling issues
- Understanding of commercial construction contracts and change-order processes
- Ability to read architectural drawings, specifications, contracts, and shop drawings
- Strong relationships with GC, developers, architects, suppliers, and industry partners is desirable
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern construction/project management platforms
