Overview In this tenure-track role, you will advance field-defining research and teaching in real estate within the Urban and Regional Planning program at Taubman College. You will contribute to a growing portfolio that includes real estate minors and certificates, and engage with the Weiser Center for Real Estate. You will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop signature courses, and provide mentorship while shaping curriculum and policy-relevant scholarship. The position emphasizes collaboration, in-person teaching in Ann Arbor, and service to the university and real estate community.

Responsibilities- Develop and lead research in real estate intersecting with urban planning/urban technology
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate and MURP core offerings; develop signature courses for real estate minor and graduate certificate
- Contribute to curriculum development, program initiatives, and service to the Weiser Center for Real Estate
- Potentially direct the graduate certificate in real estate development and/or the undergraduate minor in real estate
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Taubman College and partner with industry and policy stakeholders
- Engage in mentoring and advising of students at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Represent the program in professional engagement and events
- Support in-person teaching and participate in program activities on the Ann Arbor campus
Key requirements- Terminal degree (Ph.D. preferred) in urban and regional planning, real estate (finance or development), business administration, or related fields
- Demonstrated potential or track record in real estate research intersecting with urban planning or urban technology
