Overview In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day rock mechanics laboratory operations to keep samples, tests, and documentation moving efficiently. You'll work closely with the Lab Supervisor and project teams to support timely delivery and quality-focused practices. You help manage workflows, data integrity, and equipment activity within a safety-conscious lab. Responsibilities- Coordinate receipt, logging, tracking, processing, storage and distribution of rock samples with accurate records
- Schedule and prioritize lab testing based on project needs and capacity
- Monitor workflow and communicate testing status and potential issues to clients and internal teams
- Support data generation, documentation, and adherence to lab procedures for quality
- Assist with equipment and inventory management, calibration, and maintenance
- Collaborate with Lab Supervisor and team to maintain an organized, safe lab and support project delivery
- Perform related technical, coordination, administrative and project duties as required
Key requirements- Technical college diploma or university degree in engineering technology, geology, earth sciences, or related discipline (asset)
- Experience in a laboratory, technical, or project coordination environment (asset)
- Experience with rock mechanics or geotechnical testing is an asset (not required)
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
