Overview In this role you will support the shop floor for the Terran R primary structure assembly, removing barriers to keep production moving. You will drive cross functional process improvements across several work centers and contribute to the evolving factory design with feedback from early builds. Collaborating with design, manufacturing, reliability engineers, and vendors, you will standardize processes, create clear work instructions, and push for faster, scalable assembly. Responsibilities- Cover the shop floor for primary structure assembly centers and maintain production flow
- Champion process improvements across multiple centers to optimize assembly operations
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, reliability, internal teams, and external vendors to drive progress
- Create work instructions, specifications, and best practices across high fidelity processes and help standardize manufacturing methods
- Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback during development and through prototype and flight builds
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, aeronautical, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline
- 1+ years of progressive related experience
- Hands on history supporting complex assembly builds and able to make risk decisions to keep production moving
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with engineering and manufacturing and provide manufacturability inputs
- Strong fundamentals in statics, mechanics of materials, process improvement, factory design, fastening/joining, machining
- Knowledge of drilling, trim ops, manufacturing processes, tools, inspection methods and GD&T
- Self motivated with ability to prioritize and execute in a high pressure environment
