Overview In this role you lead systems engineering for the Javelin program, driving technical excellence and mission success. You collaborate with chief engineers, IPT leads, and program managers to align the system with program goals and manage risks and costs. You will spearhead transformation efforts in digital engineering and MBSE, guiding cross-functional activities and verification planning. This is a hands-on leadership position shaping complex defense systems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities- Manage technical response for proposals and assist the team with estimates and independent reviews
- Ensure system alignment with program strategic goals
- Lead cross-functional engineering activities including trade studies, system analyses, configuration control, verification planning/execution, affordability, and risk management
- Collaborate with customers, plan/integrate testing, and participate in major design reviews
- Work with program management, functional leads, and chief engineer to mitigate risk and ensure cost and schedule adherence
Key requirements- DoD tactical system development program experience
- Customer interface, requirements derivation/allocation, integration and test planning/execution
- Understanding of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and their application
- Participation or leadership in major design reviews
