Overview In this Manager - Sales role, you provide strategic direction to achieve regional sales and profit goals within a defined business scope. You will shape sales and marketing programs, set short- and long-term objectives, and lead a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You'll collaborate with Marketing and other departments to forecast, plan, and optimize revenue, margins, and product mix. Responsibilities- Develops and administers sales plans to meet quotas and maintain motivated staff
- Partners with Marketing to create and execute sales and marketing programs
- Forecasts annual sales and gross profit; sets territory quotas
- Projects sales volume and profit for existing and new product lines and customers
- Monitors market conditions to adjust pricing, mix, and selling price
- Directs account representatives on quotations, proposals, and order management
- Recruits, trains, and coaches sales staff; evaluates performance
- Maintains relationships with top customers and provides staff training to support customers
- Keeps professional knowledge up-to-date via workshops and publications
- Interfaces with internal teams to ensure positive customer experience and resolve issues
- Partners with suppliers and other departments to train staff and run marketing initiatives
Key requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of professional sales experience in the related industry
- 1+ year of managing sales team or programs
- Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills
- Customer service principles and meeting quality standards for services
- Teamwork, leadership, and flexibility
- Excellent time management and computer skills
- 5 years in related industry sales
- 2 years of staff and program management at national, district, or regional level
