Overview In this tenure-track role at Taubman College, you will develop field-defining research and teaching in land use and resilience planning. You join a collaborative URP community that values interdisciplinary work, policy relevance, and community engagement. You will address climate resilience, sustainability, and social equity through research and courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Responsibilities- Conduct and publish research at the intersection of land use and climate resilience
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including core MURP offerings and specialized electives
- Mentor students and contribute to student development in URP
- Engage with community and policy stakeholders to support evidence-based planning
- Collaborate across campus (e.g., Graham Sustainability Institute, School for Environment and Sustainability) on interdisciplinary initiatives
- Participate in in-person teaching load of four courses per year
- Contribute to the mission of Taubman College to imagine better urban futures
Key requirements- Terminal degree (Ph.D. preferred) in urban and regional planning or related disciplines
- Demonstrated experience or potential in research on land use and resilience
