Overview Join HDR's Building Engineering Services as the North America Commercial Management Lead to guide contract, risk, and commercial activities across projects. You will partner with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure contract conformance, lead change management, and maintain project controls. Your work supports HDR's mission to build a sustainable, innovative built environment. Responsibilities- Oversee contract administration and conformance to contract documents
- Draft and administer subcontracts; manage prime contract flow-down to subs
- Lead change management and contract change orders across the project lifecycle
- Monitor contract performance, schedules, deliverables, and compliance
- Maintain and update risk register; assist in risk mitigation planning
- Prepare reports and project correspondence; support change orders and claims processes
- Coordinate with Project Controls, scheduling, and accounting on cost and schedule impacts
- Support staff training on contract awareness and changes; assist in budget and cost review
- Assist in contract close-out and warranties/insurances compliance
- Collaborate with project team on process improvements and governance
- Manage multiple projects and travel as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field
- Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for leadership roles in technical design (as applicable)
- Experience developing and managing diverse teams
- Strong collaboration with directors, operations managers, and marketing managers
