Overview

As a Construction Project Manager at Nordstrom, you will lead end-to-end construction across retail stores, supply chain facilities, and offices. You will own scope, budget, schedule, and quality, navigating a fast-paced retail environment and complex stakeholder networks. You will drive design development, contractor oversight, and compliance to deliver projects on time and within quality and cost targets. This role offers the opportunity to shape store and facility expansion in a dynamic, ambiguity-tolerant culture focused on operational excellence. You work closely with cross-functional partners to balance speed, cost, and quality while mitigating risks and enabling business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Define and manage project scope, budget, and schedule end-to-end with stakeholders, tracking costs, timelines, and risks
  • Support contract execution and compliance with real estate, legal, and external partners, handling change orders and closeout documentation
  • Lead design development by coordinating with external consultants and documenting decisions
  • Oversee construction from bid to closeout by selecting contractors, coordinating with store teams and jurisdictions, ensuring time, cost, and quality targets
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of construction project management experience with on-site execution in fast-paced retail environments
  • degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
  • strong foundation in estimating, contracts, site operations, and safety in operating stores
  • strong communicator and problem solver with exceptional organizational skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects and build trust across multidisciplinary teams
  • familiarity with interpreting contract documents and MEP systems
  • proficient in industry tools and scheduling software
