Overview Join a multidisciplinary team developing neoantigen-based cancer vaccines for clinical use. You will work on recombinant vaccine vectors carrying neoantigens identified by proprietary pipelines and assess in vivo immunogenicity and efficacy across tumor models. The role involves hands-on experience with viral vaccine carriers in animal models and translating findings toward clinical impact. You will contribute to a mission-driven environment at City of Hope, shaping next-generation cancer immunotherapy with cutting-edge platforms.
Responsibilities- Develop and characterize recombinant vaccine vectors incorporating neoantigens identified by proprietary pipelines
- Test vaccine candidates for in vivo immunogenicity and protective efficacy in various animal tumor models
- Work with viral vaccine carriers for antigen delivery in animal models
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to interpret data and inform experimental directions
- Document scientific progress and contribute to manuscript preparation
Key requirements- PhD in cellular or tumor immunology or related field; 3+ years of relevant lab experience
- Strong interest in vaccine research and neoantigen-based vaccine methods
- Hands-on experience with preclinical animal models, especially orthotopic tumor models
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging for tumor monitoring (preferred)
- Experience with multi-color flow cytometry, ELISPOT, and imaging-based tumor measurements
- Ability to independently document progress and contribute to research articles
