Overview In this Civil Engineer III role, you'll support water resources, land development, and transportation projects for municipal and private clients. You'll work within a multidisciplinary team to design and manage plans, perform hydrology and hydraulics work, and prepare reports that guide permitting and construction. Responsibilities- Assist with managing water resources, land development, and transportation design projects and studies (site layout, grading, drainage, erosion control)
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models for stormwater systems
- Prepare drainage studies, stormwater master plans, and supporting technical reports
- Analyze and design municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities, roadways, utilities
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design tasks and perform quality control of models, calculations, reports, and plans
- Support permitting and coordination with local, state, and federal agencies
Key requirements- 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred
- Florida P.E. License required (or ability to obtain through reciprocity)
- 6+ years of experience designing civil engineering projects (water resources, land development, transportation)
- Knowledge of infrastructure, site, and roadway design principles and plan preparation
- Experience with roadway geometry, multimodal facilities, and site circulation design
- Experience with hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, and water quality design
- Experience with H&H modeling; StormWise and ICPR experience is preferred
- Experience managing or independently executing multidisciplinary design tasks and projects
- Excellent technical writing, verbal, and organizational skills
- Ability to travel within service area; experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D preferred; ArcGIS a plus
