Overview

In this role, you will lead development and certification of the Sensor Electronics unit for the NGI program, working with a cross-functional team to ensure robust avionics hardware. You will support certification data packages, system integration, and risk mitigation to meet mission objectives. The role sits in Space and offers hands-on, in-office collaboration with a focus on high-assurance electronics. You'll contribute to complex aerospace systems and critical reviews, shaping flight-ready sensor technology.

Responsibilities
  • Work on a cross-functional team in the development and certification of a supplier avionics product
  • Participate in engineering reviews, EMRB hardware discrepancy decisions, and FRB as required
  • Resolve test anomalies through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
  • Support generation of End Item Data Package for Product Certification, and integration of assemblies into next higher assembly
  • Manage risk and identify mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, schedule, and mission success objectives
Key requirements
  • Experience in a Responsible Engineer / Product Lead role for analog and digital electronics
  • Experience in design and testing of sensor electronics
  • Experience design and testing high speed interfaces
  • Experience design and testing low noise systems
  • Experience working with Subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers
  • Familiarity with failure investigation processes (root cause analysis, FRB)
  • Experience supporting technical evaluation of design and requirements verification
  • Experience in aerospace electronic component development cycle
  • Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers
  • Proficiency in presentations and written communications
  • 6+ years of professional experience
