Overview In this role you drive commercial leadership across multiple highway projects, ensuring profitable delivery and robust contractual compliance. You'll mentor the commercial team, manage budgets and forecasts, and shape outcomes through strong stakeholder engagement. The position sits in a well-established contractor with a strong project pipeline and clear opportunities for progression. You will work closely with operational teams and clients to add value from pre-construction to final account.

Responsibilities- Lead and mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial teams on multiple projects
- Manage budgets, forecasting, cost control and financial reporting
- Administer NEC and other standard forms of contract
- Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation and account management
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout lifecycles
- Manage change control, compensation events and variations
- Prepare and review CVRs, cash flow forecasts and final accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders
- Support business growth through commercial input into tenders and pre-construction activities
Key requirements- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
- Experience at Senior QS or Managing QS level within civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (Options A, B and/or E)
- Excellent cost management, forecasting and financial reporting
