Overview As a Principal Mobile Engineer you will lead the design and development of AI-enabled mobile experiences, primarily on iOS, with strong Android collaboration. You will own mobile architecture, set engineering standards, and mentor the team while partnering with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and AI squads. This role blends hands-on coding, system ownership, and cross-functional leadership to deliver secure, scalable mobile apps that leverage AI/ML capabilities. You'll shape mobile strategy in an AI-driven SDLC and influence observability and performance practices.

Responsibilities- Lead the architecture and development of native iOS apps for high performance and scalability across devices
- Provide technical direction for Android development to ensure cross-platform quality and consistency
- Define and enforce mobile engineering standards, best practices, and reusable components
- Implement on-device and cloud-based ML capabilities using modern mobile and backend frameworks
- Develop native iOS apps with Swift and SwiftUI, focusing on performance, scalability, and security
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and QA to deliver seamless experiences
- Drive initiatives to improve mobile CI/CD pipelines, crash analytics, and performance monitoring
- Implement observability using Firebase and Xcode Instruments
- Mentor junior mobile engineers and promote best practices across iOS and Android
- Partner with business stakeholders to translate product requirements into scalable mobile solutions
- Operate in an AI-driven SDLC, leveraging tools like GitHub Copilot and Xcode AI integrations
- Implement and manage Datadog dashboards, Google and Adobe Analytics, monitors, and alerts for mobile apps
