Overview In Thousand Oaks, you will serve as the on-site safety engineer across construction, commercial, and industrial projects. You'll implement safety programs, perform hazard assessments, and ensure OSHA/EHS compliance to protect workers. Lead safety training, investigations, and record-keeping while partnering with project teams to embed safety into daily operations. You'll monitor metrics, support audits, and foster a proactive safety culture that aligns with the company's mission.

- Enforce safety programs and ensure OSHA/EHS compliance
- Investigate incidents and near misses; develop corrective actions
- Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and new-hire orientations
- Maintain safety records, permits, reports, and compliance logs
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into operations
- Track safety metrics and recommend improvements
- Support emergency planning, audits, and regulatory inspections
- Promote a strong safety culture through coaching and observations
Key requirements- 3+ years of construction, commercial, or industrial safety experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS practices
- Excellent communication, coaching, and report-writing skills
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites
- Experience in safety, EHS, OSHA, quality, or construction safety roles
- OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or similar certifications preferred
