Overview In this role you will design, validate, and support electrical power distribution and control systems for manufacturing equipment and facilities. You'll ensure code-compliant, safe, and reliable designs that meet production goals, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver practical solutions. You'll contribute to risk assessments, documentation, and commissioning while driving continuous improvement to reduce cost and improve system performance. This position offers hands-on involvement on the plant floor and opportunities to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities- Design and validate electrical power distribution and control systems for manufacturing assets
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs per NFPA codes and standards
- Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, coordination studies, and relay settings
- Assist with assembly guidance, troubleshooting, commissioning, and startup on the plant floor
- Prepare and review electrical documentation including install instructions, procedures, schematics, and as-built drawings
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure NFPA and local code compliance with mitigations
- Collaborate with procurement to source components and review UL/CE certifications
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturability, reduce cost, and boost performance
- Provide engineering support for maintenance, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations
- Mentor junior engineers and technicians and communicate technical information across teams
Key requirements- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license is a plus
- Experience in electrical engineering for manufacturing environments including power systems
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E and applying it in design and installation reviews
- Hands-on experience with electrical installation, commissioning, and industrial settings
- Proficiency in load calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, grounding, and protection systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with commissioning/maintenance exposure
- Excellent technical communication for clear schematics and documentation
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects
