Overview

In this Senior Cost Estimator role, you will lead cost management for large multinational projects within Colliers' Global Occupier Services. You'll support project managers and the real estate team, shaping budgets, cost controls, and risk mitigation across pre- and post-contract phases. Your work will enable timely, on-budget delivery for industrial and office developments on a global scale. This is a remote, client-focused opportunity within a leading, growth-driven real estate services organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost management processes
  • Guide PMs in defining budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy, contract type, codes, and market conditions
  • Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures
  • Provide cost estimates from preliminary to detailed stages across project life cycle
  • Evaluate cost control effectiveness and review forecasts to safeguard budget and cash-out plan
  • Leverage cost and time-efficient construction methods to help deliver on time and within budget
  • Support PM in value engineering, price negotiations, and claims with the General Contractor
  • Collaborate closely with PM for overall project success and client growth targets
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years in cost estimating and management (pre-contract and post-contract)
  • Special knowledge of cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and related influencing factors
  • Understanding of contract types (pre-construction partnering, Design-Bid-Build to Design & Build, Open Book/cost plus fees, BTS-Lease)
  • International experience on industrial construction projects
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with BIM and cost databases
  • Specialized tools: RIB iTwo or CostX or similar
  • Structured, organized approach
