Overview In this role, you will drive growth and profitability of our Environmental Casualty products by guiding underwriting decisions and collaborating with underwriters, managers, and cross-functional partners. You'll oversee complex referrals, monitor key metrics, and develop underwriting guidelines and product enhancements. You will mentor teams, provide technical guidance, and engage with brokers and clients to strengthen relationships. The position includes travel for client and broker visits to support production and regional execution. This is a strategic, leadership-heavy underwriting role focused on scalable, market-aware solutions.

Responsibilities- Manage complex referrals and ensure timely underwriting decisions
- Monitor premium, rate, retention, profitability, loss trends, capacity, and exposure
- Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines, forms, and product enhancements
- Support EPIC, excess casualty, auto, and environmental contractors' workers' compensation strategy
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and training to underwriters
- Occasional travel for client and broker visits to support production teams
- Strengthen broker and distribution relationships and support renewal and new-business execution
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training
- at least 7 years of relevant environmental casualty production underwriting experience
- at least 3 years of people management experience
- advanced knowledge of environmental casualty underwriting concepts, practices, procedures and techniques
- knowledge/underwriting experience for workers' compensation for environmental contractors
