Overview In this role you support property operations by handling financial data, leasing tasks, and resident relations within a low-income housing community. You will assist the Property Manager with administrative and leasing duties while ensuring compliance with Section 8 and tax credit guidelines. The role focuses on accurate data handling, rent processing, and certification workflows to sustain compliant, well-run housing. You will collaborate across teams to maintain resident satisfaction and smooth property administration. Responsibilities- Assist with ongoing leasing and administrative functions of the property
- Verify certifications and ensure compliance with federal regulations, Section 8, and tax credit guidelines
- Verify income eligibility and compute family income for applicants
- Assist with tax credit evaluations, certifications, and recertifications
- Prepare contracts, leases, income changes, interim reviews, housing assistance payments adjustments
- Process rent payments, work orders, and purchases
- Support day-to-day administration of the low-income housing
- Enforce company policies and procedures
Key requirements- Experience in low-income housing and tax credit programs, especially Section 8 (preferred)
- Customer service experience in hospitality or customer-facing environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Accurate mathematical computations; good spelling and grammar
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Problem-solving and dispute-resolution abilities
- Yardi experience (preferred)
