Overview In this role you will lead NAM public relations and crisis communications to elevate Schneider Electric's brand as a trusted energy technology partner. You will steer media relations, thought leadership, and executive visibility while coordinating cross-functional teams across the Americas. You'll oversee crisis preparedness and response in the U.S. and collaborate with global colleagues to protect reputation. This is a practice-owner position focused on building durable PR capability and measurable impact.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive U.S. media relations and thought leadership program, including newsjacking, pitches, op-eds, and media placements
- Secure strategic speaking engagements for executives to demonstrate thought leadership
- Design and run an awards program to bolster brand trust and leader reputations
- Support major events with media relations, press materials, talking points, media training, and journalist interviews
- Lead 360-degree news delivery by coordinating with paid, social, and internal comms teams to maximize story visibility
- Drive NAM Issues/Crisis Management in the U.S., coordinating with global teams and aligning with risk management and government relations
- Act as senior U.S.-time-zone advisor on global issues/crises and serve as crisis-management lead
- Contribute to crisis handling SOPs and manage crisis communications with global, business, and operations partners
- Act as Operations lead for NAM Brand & Communications with a focus on measurement and quarterly performance reporting
Key requirements- Bachelor in Communications or related field
- 5-7+ years in Communications/Marketing in large companies or PR agencies
- 5+ years direct media relations experience with Tier 1/C-level media
- 3+ years in a matrix organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 25%; able to work from Boston office at least 3 days/week
- English proficiency (spoken and written)
