Associate Business Development Director - Real-World Evidence

Overview

In this role you will secure and retain business through proactive, consultative sales to decision-makers at clinical sponsors. You will build long-term relationships, understand customer needs, and position IQVIA services to drive cross-sell opportunities. Working with cross-functional teams, you will develop sales strategies, coordinate proposals, and lead presentations to close deals. You will operate in a fast-paced environment, managing plans and tracking actions in the CRM to achieve growth and customer satisfaction. This role offers impact through shaping client solutions and contributing to the company's clinical and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities
  • prospect and develop new business opportunities within target accounts
  • cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and maintain knowledge of the customer organization
  • understand IQVIA services for cross-sell opportunities
  • analyze competitive activities and position accordingly
  • identify customer needs and propose appropriate strategies/solutions
  • coordinate with contracts/proposals to develop and present proposals
  • lead sales presentations with operations and functional managers
  • educate the team on customer culture and sales techniques
  • manage follow-up and drive completion of contractual documents
  • adapt strategies to meet market demands and financial targets
  • maintain high visibility within the customer organization
  • monitor customer satisfaction and execute comprehensive sales plans per target account
  • record all sales activities in CRM and prepare activity reports
  • serve as liaison between customer and IQVIA technical/operational groups
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years related experience including 3 years in CRO/Real-World or sales
  • strong organizational, planning, and project management skills
  • established network at outsourcing, procurement, and mid-management levels
  • excellent business/industry awareness and understanding of industry trends
  • excellent analytical skills with customer data
  • ability to meet demanding timelines and work independently or as a team
  • advanced MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • excellent oral and written communication
  • ability to build productive relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
  • 30% travel as required
